Fitness trackers (or smart bands) and Smartwatches are among the most purchased and desired gifts.
Loved by athletes but not only, they are useful for monitoring physical activity and performance but also for reading messages and seeing call and social notifications (in real time) when you can’t have your smartphone at hand.
They look like normal watches, sometimes thin, in others with a large round or square dial. Beloved by men and women of all ages. We have compiled a list of the best fitness trackers and best fitness watches to buy on offer at Amazon.
Best Fitness Tracker: Top 10
Below is the top 10 most popular fitness trackers from Amazon users and with the best reviews:
Best Overall – Fitbit Versa 2
The first impression you get from the new Fitbit Versa 2 is that the new model is identical to the first Fitbit Versa, particularly in the box, which shows the same form factor with just a few different things.
On closer inspection the differences emerge: the display is brighter and the two side buttons of the first edition have disappeared (only one remains on the inside of the wrist), now replaced by a small hole that serves to communicate with Alexa, the huge news about this model.
Alexa is not always on (you need to press the side button to call her) and provides only textual feedback regarding direct answers, but itis still a wonderful help in different situations.
Versa 2 inherits all the smart capabilities of the first model but improving interaction: now you can use the smart alarm clock that understands the right time to wake up based on the type of sleep and the time set, leading to a more natural but still on time alarm.
Versa 2 is a very nice model, customizable and smart as you would expect from a current model with what I think is the best App available on the market today for the collection of physical and sports data (non-competitive).
The customization of the model is high, because in addition to the dials you can choose between three colors of the case and a myriad of straps, official or not, and finally also because with about five days of life with a battery charge (validated), it offers capabilities (such as sleep and resting heartbeat detection) that other more distinguished models, such as Apple Watch, do not yet have.
On animations it’s a bit basic, as well as on the vastness of the App Store, and we’d like more interaction with iPhone (but we’re convinced that here the fault is not with Fitbit) but for the rest we’re facing the best of Fitbit available today, both in terms of design and power and hardware and software integration.
Pros:
- Alexa on board
- New AMOLED display
- Improved health control
- Improved sleep control
- Smart alarm clock
Cons:
- Alexa is poorly integrated
- Interaction with iPhone is limited
Fitbit Versa 2
The Versa 2 boasts a slim design, AMOLED display, improved battery life, and tons of fitness features at an affordable price.Best Value Tracker – Fitbit Charge 3
Lightweight, with a big display, interchangeable wrist strap, heart rate control, integrated touch and App functions and, above all, with a complete data system, Charge 3 appears today a formidable Activity Tracker.
On the back of the wristband, in contact with the wrist, the new heart rate sensor always refers to PurePulse technology: what’s new here is that Charge 3 uses the same sensor as the more advanced Versa and Ionic models, so one step further on the precision scale than the previous model, but at this point also compared to High HR.
There is no GPS inside, which the Charge uses in sharing with the smartphone, but as for the physical activity sessions there is a proven automatic activation system that records the states of activity from those at rest, offering a very accurate X-ray of the day: in some running sessions the Charge 3 has offered to activate the Running function, but also declining, the activity has been recorded the same (without GPS) as important physical activity.
The price is important (and also the shape), we admit it, but those who do not want a smartwatch and prefer an Activity tracker, to be combined with a classic watch, will find in this model everything you need, often even independently directly from the bracelet display without disturbing the App (quite a unique factor in the smartband market).
Pros:
- Powerful, lightweight and comfortable to wear
- Large touch display
- Water resistant and with wide customization
- The App is the best there is on the market.
Cons:
- More openness of the app to other systems would be welcome.
- A bit expensive
Fitbit Charge 3
Lightweight, with a generous display, interchangeable wrist strap, heart rate control, integrated touch and App functions.
Best On A Budget – Xiaomi Mi Band 4
Mi Band 4 is a big step forward compared to previous models. The color display makes the user experience better, more modern and attractive. The display, at maximum brightness is more readable in the sun than its predecessor, although not at Amazfit Bip levels.
The connection with smartphones is precise and punctual, as are the incoming notifications. Many sports it can track, even if it does not offer GPS functions (unless the smartphone is paired), while the autonomy does not disappoint: even at maximum brightness and with automatic beat detection (interval of 10 minutes) you can forget about the battery charger for several days.
Excellent 5 ATM certification, which will allow you to wear the band all day long. Ultimately, at the moment, it is the best among the cheap bands.
At the moment it is on super offer on GearBest, where you can buy it for just 29 euros.
Pros:
– Colour display
– Easy to navigate UI
– Improved readability in the sun
– Autonomy
– Price
– Stable connection with your smartphone
– Track many sports
– Always on time notifications
Cons:
– NO GPS
– To recharge it, you have to separate the body from the strap.

Best Health Tracking Suite – Garmin VivoSmart 4
The new smartband not only counts steps and distance completed but also allows you to monitor your fitness thanks to some extra features.
Vivosmart 4 is in fact equipped with a system called “pulse ox”, which measures oxygen saturation in the blood at night to monitor the quality of sleep. It can also estimate sleep phases, which you can then view as statistics in the Garmin Connect app.
Another additional feature is the ability to monitor energy levels based on factors such as stress, heart rate variability, sleep quality and activity level.
If Vivosmart 4 detects a high “Body battery energy”, it’s suggesting that we could put more effort into it, while the opposite is intimate to take a brief rest.
To make this possible Garmin has redesigned its heart rate sensor making it more powerful and has implemented the stress detection feature to work all day long, with notifications that remind you to take a break if your stress levels get too high.
Vivosmart 4 is waterproof and can charge up to seven days.
Pros:
- Ultra Light-weight design
- Premium Health Tracking
- Boy Battery Energy Monitor
- All-day Stress Tracking

For some people the devices must be all or nothing. Fortunately, for others, and especially for fitness enthusiasts, there are some that must have only a few basic features while meeting the need for a fully functional smartwatch. One example is the Fossil Gen 5.
First it sports the Snapdragon Wear 3100, and also boasts integrated GPS, near field communication (NFC) and music storage; it accesses Google Pay so there’s no reason to bring your phone to the gym.
